Does anyone know if ps3 will work with this computer lcd monitor that has hdmi?

Even if it did work how would sound work from the ps3? since this screen doesnt give you built in speakers

A computer LCD monitor will work if it does have the HDMI (like you said). As far as sound goes, I believe the PS3 has optical audio out? You could use that to put sound through a receiver or whatever.

Rustam is incorrect, HDMI outputs both video and audio signals. The problem isnt the HDMI, its the monitor.Does anyone know if ps3 will work with this computer lcd monitor that has hdmi?
The HDMI only outputs the visual signal. You would have to get audio speakers that work with the plugs that you get with the PS3 (sorry, I don't know the technical terms) which usually go into the TV if you aren't using HD (the red and white/yellow (can never remember which!) ones), or the green and red (i think) ones. Go into setup on your PS3 and go through the stages to see which plugs it is compatible with.
