I'm a teen flying alone and i have a layover flight. how does this work?

so me and my friend are flying alone to florida this weekend and we have a layover flight. i was just wondering if we get escorted or anything to the nest plane. thanks!

oh and im 16 and shes 15 if that makes a difference or anythingI'm a teen flying alone and i have a layover flight. how does this work?
Are either of you registered as unaccompanied minors? Where will you be departing from, transferring through, and arriving into? Airline(s)? Class of service? And how much time will you have for the layover?

Answer with as much information as you feel comfortable with (the more you provide, the more accurate and detailed response I can give) and I would be more than happy to help you =]I'm a teen flying alone and i have a layover flight. how does this work?
No need to worry. From the time you arrive at your departure airport the airline staff will take care of you. They have done it thousands of time in the past. Airline staff will escort you to your flight. The airline will notify the arrival airport that you are on the flight and again you will be met and escorted to your onward flight. The airline will inform your destination airport that you are on the flight and again you will be met on arrival.

Basically it's pretty easy and very friendly.

Unless you arrange it in advance, no, you are one your own. At 15, you are viewed as being ';young adults'; and you can ask for help under the minors traveling alone but it is not required. It will cost approx. $100 per person each way.

You can, of course, ask for help at the layover but it is pretty straight forward. Have fun.
