I don't think this tax refund will help boost the economy. I know they say people will be more likely to spend with it. Even if people go right out and spend it won't it hurt the value of the American dollar? Hopefully someone with a good background in economics can answer this. I don't think it will help anything but I would like to hear a good explanation why I am right or wrong. Thanks. How will this tax refund work?
It probably won't help the economy that much, mostly because the money they would have spent on public goods would help us more than private goods. It will probably cause some sort of inflation, but not to a significant amount. How will this tax refund work?
For all of those in doubt, rest assured refunds/rebate checks WILL help economy. Main problem = too small! The 2nd prob. = not targeting the poor. Many w/ +20k cash won't need it as bad, and will hoard it. Yeah hoarding won't stimulate. Those in dire need will stimulate. Report Abuse
