I place a piece of metal (that absorbs heat) in hot water in a calorimeter. When I CLOSE THE LID, will the temperature of the water change?? Idk because of the heat conserved?
Also, know of any restaurants or places with large Styrofoam cups like Smoothie King? (or a grocery store?)Will this science experiment work and large Styrofoam cup?
temperature is not going to change just by your closing the lid. But it will slow down heat loss via evaporation.
