Yes it will work just be carefull not to hot use damp cloth but not to damp, GO SLOW These guys before have never tryed tthis If it fog,s there is a product you can use to get rid of the fog,What if your table is cherry with varnish on top...will this steaming method work?

Steaming works ONLY on un-varnished wood.





The steam will fog and whiten your varnish.
Damp rag, iron set on cotton. Try it somewhere to see if it makes a mark. Sometimes depending on the finish, it will leave it cloudy white. Try the inside of a table leg that no one sees.
